In a world where technology is rapidly disrupting economic and social structures, citizens are feeling the pressure—and the anger is palpable. The keynote and workshop, “The Mess We’re in—and how to get out of it”, delves into the core reasons behind this rising discontent, focusing on how digitization, AI, social media, and deep-fakes are unsettling our sense of security and stability.
But technology isn’t the only factor. Globalization, outsourcing, and immigration have become some of the most divisive issues in Western societies, sparking fears about cultural identity, economic security, and societal cohesion. Addressing this is urgent.
This keynote & workshops offer a deep exploration of the profound changes going on in our societies and the fears and challenges that this causes. It goes to the root structures of our societal cohesion and shows where the disruption happens. It also provides suggestions for how we can change this and create a shared sense of belonging in increasingly diverse societies.
The situation is the same across the West, yet there are fundamental differences between the US, the UK, the Nordics, and the rest of Europe. Keynotes and workshops take this into account.
