ABCDEFGH: What it means to be human

We need to think big and be bold and to change some of the fundamental structures in the way the world works. Together with our Nigerian friend and good colleague Folarin Gbadebo-Smith, Lene Rachel Andersen has written the article ABCDEFG: What it means to be human. Here they list 8 challenges that we need to take into account if we are going to solve the real problems (climate change etc.) and 11 solutions or new ways of thinking that may help us.

Developing concrete measures like these are really what we created Nordic Bildung for, it just took us some years to lay a solid intellectual foundation under the more concrete thinking.

While we did that, we also developed some venues for discussing such ideas, and now we have them, both online and at live conferences.

In the Global Bildung Network we just made What it means to be human the overall theme in the coming years: https://www.nordicbildung.org/what-it-means-to-be-human/

We also renamed Global Bildung Day and are now calling it the Global Meeting on Equinox.

And therefore What it means to be human is also the overall theme for the Global Meeting on Equiox on September 21: https://www.globalbildung.net/what-it-means-to-be-human-2024-september-21/.

And you can still get the book What it Means to Be Human, of course: https://www.nordicbildung.org/what-it-means-to-be-human/
