Leading a study circle is different from teaching. In principle, anybody can lead a study circle as long as they care about the topic and about the people in the circle.
How to do it
Yet, some training helps, and in Study Circle Leader 1, we walk through the best practices of leading a study circle and you get to lead a circle yourself. Study circles are democratic and the leader is there to learn as well.
Be a Swedish peasant!
Study circles were first invented in Sweden in 1902, and they spread like a wildfire across Sweden in the following decades. Workers and peasants were hungry for knowledge and they self-organized and self-led the circles. So, become a Swedish peasant!

We would like to engage more members of the Global Bildung Network in leading study circles, courses and workshops. We therefore offer the Fall 2023 Study Circle Leader 1 @ 15 Euro if you have joined the GBN and would like to lead minimum 1 study circle in the Network after this course.
Practicalities
Study Circle Leader 1 is online and has 7 sessions, 2½ hours each, maximum 10 participants. There will be 1 hour of preparation before each session.

If you sign up as a future host, you commit yourself to leading a 4-session study circle in the Global Bildung Network based on Nordic Bildung content.
After hosting this first study circle, you can organize your own study circles in the network. More info about payments for your study circles etc. when we meet.
